Spent 2 days at hideLUN's house cause we got some plans at night, playing story-making game, it's like one gave the opening line and making up the story till you're stuck then the other one continue, back and forth. Hopefully this brainstorming game able to trigger some good stories which can actually give a start to hideLUN on pursuing comic drawings. (He stopped ever since his parents banned him, saying things like can't make a living out from drawings and even throw away all his drawing stuffs - sad...)
By having so much time at his home during daytime, I searched through his collections an finished on 4 novels. I'm not that type of person who likes to read, prefer comic rather than novel, somehow, it's amazing how them, the authors played with words, I really put myself into that very interesting role.
Those novels are kinda old - Are you afraid of the dark? - Beth's Diary, The Beast 2, The Trap and Tap, Tap. First and second are more to teenagers' readings. However, I do like the first one. Imagine, every curse you wrote down on the diary will come true at night when all the lights out. I read this novel at midnight under dim light as he was sleeping. The story frightening me, it's spooky, I started to imagine what if outsiders really exist? What if goblins crawl out from underneath the bed? What if I heard sound of scratchings at the window?
The second one is more on time travel, more to bedtime story where kids start to play around with imaginations. It brings me back to my childhood memories, where I was wondering if I could travel back to the time when I was born, where everyone laughing but me, crying...or back to the scene when the 33 years old peace lover, John Lennon was shot, why would the cold-hearted murderer do so? Is he a war lover? John Lennon's songs impressed me.
The trap had a hanging ending, felt like author was rushing for deadlines. Left plenty of question marks in my mind.
Tap, Tap is the one I like the most. Terrifying, suspenseful, twisted plot, sexual deviation, expect the unexpected from this novel. Just can't stop reading as the story won't go with logical plot. Can't convince anyone with ideas from this novel if it isn't really happening, I mean in reality.
After I finished all, I was thinking, how the authors got all these striking ideas? You know what, I can't even continue the story in the game, what a loser...hehe...anyway, if anyone have any ideas on comic, do give me some comments. Wish to help hideLUN start on comic asap. Thanks in advance pals...
